Who would have thought that a few simple instructions – keeping your microphone-holding elbow against your side, regarding it as a tube, not an icecream, and holding it at the best angle (about 45 degrees?) could make so much difference in using a microphone? Thank you, Leigh!
A “comedy club” night to remember. Who would have thought that a different room setting would give such a challenge. Certainly different styles of comedy.
Back to microphones – yesterday I found myself expected to use an identical microphone for a YPL poetry presentation, and was so glad that we had had this session before this challenge! Much positive feedback – thank you yet again, Diamond Valley, for the progress you have helped me make in facing an audience, as well as microphone usage!
Well done Ann. I think we are all getting better with our microphone techniques. Why didn’t you tell us about your Poetry Presentation? I would have loved to be there.

It’s not an Ice Cream!

Leigh made it look easy didn’t she? I’m sure we will all get the hang of it if we keep practicing.
No, it definitely isn’t an icecream. In fact a microphone can enhance your presentation skill far more than an ice cream ever can!
I thought that a night of comedy was a great program, we were learning and delivering, all the while having lots of fun.
